Day Two
The day started with blue patchy sky and a little warmth, then after two hours it rained for the rest of day. That didn't matter because this year the set up was solid. We did have to go round the marquee and lift various sections to remove the rain water from the roof but in the most part, it kept the whole house dry. I am not looking forward to seeing what happens over night.
The progress was steady, in the first part of the day, the marquee was secured, then the internal walls went up and the tunnel padded out, then we ran out of materials, a trip to the diy shop for the next day will ensue. Overall, we all agreed that this year's, even though it isn't finished and there aren't any props in, still looks better than last year and previous years.
We installed the lights, even though we didn't have access to power, just my camping battery that still gave enough light to work. Luckily the sides haven't been blacked out or we would have been in complete darkness.
Mila one of the spooky pooches joined us for the morning and stood guard like a good girl.
