My experience at Capel Manor for the Dread House during Halloween was honestly amazing.. I went from originally doing 2/3 days to the full 7 days because it was just so much fun! I had the best team with me too and we was all pretty much on the same boat as a lot of us were new to it. I also got a part which I love, I play Willow Marak (a witch) and I’m already protective over her because she’s an icon! And I’ve kind of given her a more ‘gothy/emo’ identity… I didn’t intend on that but I just went mad with my makeup!
The whole experience was just amazing because we ended up becoming so popular and the public gave us really good reactions 99% of the time and was very respectful with us. One of the days we got told that we had sold another 200 tickets or something crazy like that, so it was definitely rewarding to know that people enjoyed us! Even down to seeing videos of us on Facebook and Instagram was amazing! I also loved how people would give positive feedback and say how the witches were amazing in particular! That was lovely to hear as I was a witch too!
